Boys & Girls can start Little league at the age of 5. They can play up until they're about 16 years old.. There are some exceptions to the following rules.
Go to divisions for more details, but generally:

| Boy or Girl age 5-6 | T-Ball typical season |
| Boy or Girl age 7-8 | Minor B (Coach Pitch) baseball typical season |
| Boy age 9-12 | Minor A (Kid Pitch) typical season (or) Majors baseball typical season |
| Girl age 9-12 | Minor A (Kid Pitch) typical season (or) Majors baseball typical season (or) Girls Majors Softball typical season |
| Boy age 13-14 | Juniors baseball typical season |
| Girl age 13-14 | Girls Juniors Softball typical season (or) Juniors baseball typical season |
